Pasture-Raised Pork Tallow
When we started looking for safe, simple skincare for our own family, most of what we found on store shelves was full of synthetic additives. So we went back to what families used for generations: tallow. Ours comes from the pigs we raise on our own farm.
Why pork tallow

Creamy Texture
Naturally soft and light. Its creaminess allows for smooth application and distribution. Glides on without heaviness.

Neutral Scent
Pork tallow has a very mild scent, so you smell the herbs and essential oils we infuse, not the tallow.

Closely matches the natural composition of human skin, so it absorbs more efficiently.

Fat-Soluble Vitamins
A, D, E, and K. Especially high in vitamin D from pasture-raising, supporting skin integrity and barrier function.
Raised on pasture
Our Kunekune pigs graze and root outside under wide Iowa skies. We rotate them through pastures so the land gets time to rest and regrow. Pigs that live in the sunshine store vitamin D in their fat, which is one more reason we care so much about how ours are raised.
Old ways, still worth keeping
God has provided so much in the land around us. Tallow was used on skin for generations, long before synthetic shortcuts came along, often paired with herbs that grew right outside the door. We’re carrying that tradition forward.
From our farm to your jar
Every jar of Meadowlark Made starts with pigs raised on our veteran-owned family farm. We raise the pigs, and we render the fat ourselves, slowly and in small batches. That means we know exactly where our tallow comes from, every step of the way.
