Over the years, one question has guided every choice we make: Where does this come from, and why is it here?
The Beauty of Native and Local Herbs
We believe what grows right under our feet deserves honor. That’s why we choose native and locally grown herbs whenever possible. Studies show we don’t need to import exotic botanicals to get incredible results — nature has already provided what our skin needs right here on the prairie.
Using local herbs also keeps our carbon footprint low, reduces transportation, and supports regenerative farming practices. From plantain to goldenrod, every plant is chosen for its skin benefits, energy, and historical use in prairie herbalism.

Responsible Wild-Foraging and Farm-Grown Ingredients
When we forage, we do it responsibly. We take only what the land can replenish and harvest with care to preserve ecosystems. On the farm, herbs are grown in healthy, nutrient-rich soil alongside the animals that help naturally fertilize and enrich the land.
Every tallow, every infusion, every extract is carefully studied and tested to ensure it provides real benefit — not just something pretty to label as “natural.” My background as a holistic esthetician guides these decisions, combining modern skin science with ancestral wisdom.
Packaging and Sustainability Practices
Sustainability doesn’t stop at ingredients. We use recycled and recyclable packaging whenever possible, and design formulas to last without excessive waste. Every jar reflects our commitment to mindful consumption — to slow beauty, intentional care, and honoring creation in every step.
Our small, family farm embraces regenerative practices. Our Kunekune pigs are pasture-raised with care, and we honor the animal through a true nose-to-tail approach. Nothing goes to waste, and everything we use is chosen with respect.
